Why PTSA?
What is Lovinggood MS PTSA and why should I join?
The PTSA is the Parent Teacher Student Association. The PTSA mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
At LMS, the PTSA strives to uphold the mission and purposes of the National PTSA, as well as create a positive impact in the LMS community. The LMS PTSA works diligently with school administration, staff, parents and the community in providing improvements for the LMS community.
This would not be possible without YOUR membership!
Please see the document link at the bottom of this page for a copy of the PTSA Membership Form. THANK YOU!!!
What are some of the projects & events Lovinggood MS PTSA sponsors?
Red Ribbon Week, Reflections Art Competition, Honor Wall Displays, 6th & 7th Fall grade level socials, 8th Grade Spring Dance, Student & Teacher Appreciation programs, Teacher’s luncheon & appreciation week, agendas, landscaping, & teacher grants. PTSA recently helped fund the purchase of furniture for our new media/colaboration center in partnership with our school foundation.
Why should my child join PTSA?
A PTSA membership is an important way for a student to show their support for their school. All of the PTSA programs directly affect the students at LMS. In addition, membership is required to attend the Fall 6th, 7th or 8th grade after-school social events. Each PTSA membership also comes with valuable discounts and freebies.
I work full-time/l have small children at home/my schedule is hectic and I can’t get to school to volunteer. Why does the PTSA need me?
Joining PTSA does NOT mean you have to volunteer your time. Your membership dues & donations help fund our valuable programs and these programs would NOT be possible without your support. So, Thank You!
